Blake plays a mother who remains 29 – never growing older, even as her own young daughter ages and becomes a grandmother herself. Check out these posters for forthcoming movie The Age of Adaline show her retaining her youthful complexion through the ages. The Age of Adaline, which opens nationwide on April 24.
“We had to make Adaline a real person, so there was a lot of playing dress-up in different eras,” makeup artist Monica Huppert says. “The ‘60s were the opposite of everything else—the ‘40s and ‘50s were about bright lips, like pinks and reds. The ‘60s were rebellious in their own way and different than anything done prior; it was all about paler lips and lots of eye liner.” Huppert used L’Oréal Pro-Last Lipcolor ($10) in Passionate Petal to give Adaline the perfect, subtle pink lip. As for Adaline’s bangs, hairstylist Anne Carroll tells us exactly how she created them: She clipped them in. “The bangs were not Blake’s,” she reveals. “They were actually clip-ons that I had colored to match her hair!” She collaborated with the costume department and costume designer Angus Strathie for the matching headscarf, after doing extensive research on all the different eras and citing lots of vintage photos for reference.

The movie release schedule for 2015 has slowly been coming together and Lionsgate today announced that the Blake Lively Harrison Ford romantic drama The Age of Adaline will open on January 23, 2015.
In The Age of Adaline, Adaline (Blake Lively) ceases to age following an accident one icy night, but keeps her condition a closely guarded secret while embarking on a number of incredible adventures throughout the 20th Century. After years of a solitary life, she finds the love and courage that enable her to fully begin living. Ellen Burstyn, Amanda Crew and Kathy Baker co-star in the Lee Toland Krieger directed film.
Blake Lively suffered an injury during filming of The Age Of Adaline in Vancouver, Canada earlier this week. The 26-year-old was seen gasping as she discovered the bloody wound, after reportedly slipping and falling down a hill. But after inspecting her wound the actress began laughing and ever the professional, it wasn’t long until she was back to work.
Blake, who plays the lead in the film, was wearing a blue woolly cardigan and a pale blue headband in a fifties style. She was joined on set by her co-star who didn’t look too concerned by Blake’s injury but he did come over to inspect her wound. Poor Blake!
